The Vieille du Temple Gallery is located in a former private mansion in the heart of the Marais, near the Pompidou Center and the Picasso Museum, which have already attracted a substantial number of public and private cultural venues.
In this sense, the gallery helps to develop the most intense cultural and artistic network in Paris, and one of the most vivacious in Europe.

The Vieille du Temple Gallery is a contemporary art gallery, and its main vocation is to reveal and defend the work of contemporary artists, and to encourage and promote their creative spirit over the long term. Rather than limiting ourselves to a current trend, we prefer to focus on the sensitivity, inner poetry and technical mastery of talented individual artists.

Since it was first established in 1988 by Marie-H?l?ne de La Forest Divonne, the Vieille du Temple Gallery has unwaveringly embraced this vocation, with all the attendant risks and uncertainties. And indeed, the increasing number of gallery visitors each year bear eloquent testimony to the merit of her decision.

"My gallery life is driven by a passion for art in all its forms ? painting, photography, sculpture, video, engraving? I want to present artists in whom I believe, and establish the most direct and natural relationship possible between the artists, the public, and the works. Before commencing a complex discourse, I like to listen to the emotions of a work, share the force of the fleeting moment when the strength of a work is so intense that it overwhelms us. I want artists, collectors and all people involved in the arts world to feel at home in the Vieille du Temple Gallery, whether they be visitors, professionals or simply art enthusiasts. For me, the important thing is that they participate, through the gallery, in the creations and the art of their time.
To hold a gallery means to try at any time to keep the balance between what
one likes or wants to defend and the necessary realism that it goes on in a financial way..."
